The chemical recovery ministry is a spiritual program for those struggling with an addiction to drugs, including alcohol and other mood altering substances. While we firmly believe that addiction affects a person physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, it is the spiritual aspect of recovery that we address as the root of addiction.

Addiction can be viewed as a continued involvement with a substance or activity despite the negative consequences associated with it. Pleasure and enjoyment would have originally been sought; however, over a period of time and involvement with the substance, activity is needed to feel normal. When one becomes a Christian after such involvement what do they do? And those of us who have not has such a background, what do we say to such a person?

We are not experts on this particular subject but we have history and experience dealing with drugs and alcohol from being around it, and from using and abusing it when we were worldly men and women before becoming disciples. God is constantly warning his people to turn from sin in this area and we feel we've been called to do the same, admonish and teach.
